Peugeot 308

Peugeot 308

The new PEUGEOT 308 asserts itself in its segment and changes its morphology. The 55 mm longer wheelbase stretches the silhouette and offers more space to the rear passengers, while the 20 mm lower height combined with a soft nose visually lengthens the hood. In order to meet its aerodynamic goal of efficiency, the new PEUGEOT 308 did not seek its posture and expressiveness towards the outside, but towards the inside. Thanks to a vast work of architectural optimization and a performance of stamping of the body. The skin of the new PEUGEOT 308 is adjusted as close as possible to its structure, this is particularly visible in the very pronounced fender sculptures, without increasing the tracks.

On the side, the simple and smooth sidewall finds its powerful character in the two sharp squares that overhang the front and rear wheels. The design of the side medallion draws from the history of the brand its identity design (PEUGEOT 205, 208, 308…) while bringing the dynamism resulting from the morphological work done on the silhouette. The rear part, strategic in the aerodynamic performance, has been designed from the optimal points of passage of a sedan silhouette defined in wind tunnel. Thus, the characteristic style line crossing the stern is based on this aerodynamic optimum, as well as the roof top’s trailing line, which required the presence of this long spoiler distinctive of the new PEUGEOT 308’s style.

The new PEUGEOT 308 is very much in the PEUGEOT DNA. Sensual and sharp, it is part of a more upscale and dynamic world of reference. The new PEUGEOT 308 bears the new PEUGEOT brand crest in a grille that is entirely dedicated to it. Its presence is reinforced by the pattern of the grille which gradually converges towards it. Design and technological evolution, the radar for the driving aids disappears behind the coat of arms (radome technology using indium compatible with radar waves) to let it alone adorn this grille. The license plate moves to the bottom of the front. The front headlamps are equipped with LED technology from the first level of finish. Chiselled and fine, they contribute to the dynamics and identity of this new PEUGEOT 308. They are extended by daytime running lights in the shape of fangs on the front bumper. This light signature is perfectly in line with the current PEUGEOT style, identifiable at first glance, day or night. On the GT/GT Pack levels, the Full LED headlights are even slimmer and become PEUGEOT Matrix LED Technology, for greater efficiency and safety in everyday life. At the rear, the lights adopt the full LED technology displaying the 3 claws for a modern light signature, specific to the brand.
